For Windows, the grep alternative is findstr. This will create a file called junk.txt with just the lines that have the text “font-family:” in it. Open it in a text file editor and search for “font-family:”įrom a command line (windows) issue something like this:įindstr "font-family:" "dad.svg" > junk.txt Turns out the Inkscape SVG is just a text XML file. However, you will see font related information in the XML. This may still be present in the Inkscape SVG but is not displayed. You accidentally created a text area but it has no text in it. Next, I’ll click anywhere on my Inkscape canvas to start a line of text (red arrow in the photo above). ![]() I say “misleading” because they are a “remnant” or “part” of something in the XML/SVG file but not actually displayed or “used”. I’ll start this process off by grabbing my Text tool from the Toolbox (red arrow in the above image) on the left-hand side of the Inkscape user interface (you can also hit F8 on your keyboard to access this tool).
